Blueprint
Pre-Activity Preparation:
- Designate a leader or facilitator to guide the activity and maintain structure
- Determine the order of participants or establish a system for taking turns
- Set guidelines or rules for the storytelling (e.g., appropriate content, time limits)
Activity Introduction:
- Explain the objectives and rules of the Virtual Tell A Tale activity
- Emphasize the importance of active listening, collaboration, and building upon each other's ideas
- Encourage creativity, imagination, and respectful participation
Storytelling Sequence:
- The designated leader starts by introducing the opening line of the story (e.g., "Once upon a time in Silk board")
- Each participant takes turns adding one line to the story, building upon the previous line
- The leader can provide structure by suggesting plot points or narrative arcs (e.g., introduction, plot 1, plot 2, climax, resolution)
- Encourage participants to be creative, imaginative, and to avoid repetition or going off-topic
