Blueprint
Materials Required:
• Large wooden boards or platforms
• Bamboo sticks or wooden dowels
• Metal pipes or cylinders
• Tools (e.g., hammers, pliers, saws) if needed
• Safety equipment (e.g., gloves, goggles)
Team Formation:
• Divide participants into teams of 6-8 members
• Encourage diversity in team composition for varied perspectives
Pre-Activity Briefing:
• Explain the rules and objectives of the activity clearly
• Demonstrate the materials and their intended usage
• Emphasize the importance of teamwork, communication, and strategic planning
Design and Construction Phase:
• Allocate a specific time frame (e.g., 30-60 minutes) for teams to design and construct their rollerboards
• Encourage teams to brainstorm ideas, assign roles, and manage resources effectively
• Facilitate collaboration, communication, and problem-solving within teams
Testing Phase:
• Designate a safe area or course for testing the rollerboards
• Teams take turns testing their rollerboards, with up to 3 team members riding on the board
• Observe and evaluate the stability, maneuverability, and overall functionality of the rollerboards
Scoring and Evaluation:
• Evaluate teams based on the successful construction and performance of their rollerboards
• Consider additional criteria such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and creative thinking
• Introduce a scoring system (e.g., points for successful testing, deductions for instability or safety concerns)
